Residence in Engomi (G & N), designed by architect Nikos Nikolaou, is defined by clean lines, a compact form and an ergonomic architectural composition that harmoniously blends traditional elements with contemporary design.
The design features horizontal slabs, cantilevers and vertical wall elements, which interact with pitched and hipped tiled roofs. This creates a balanced architectural dialogue between modern expression and vernacular forms.
The building is developed across two levels. The ground floor accommodates the everyday living spaces, including the living room, kitchen, dining area and auxiliary spaces, while the upper floor hosts the private areas, such as bedrooms and bathrooms.
The overall composition is predominantly inward-looking, with spaces flowing seamlessly into one another while ensuring privacy, functionality and a strong sense of security for its residents.
